Fr. Cornelius Kelechi Anyanwu born and raised in Nigeria and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Hartford on September 13, 2008. Fr. Kelechi (as he prefers to be addressed) received his Undergraduate education from Seat of Wisdom Seminary Owerri, Nigeria. In response to the need for missionaries to the United States, with the consent of his local bishop, Fr. Kelechi left his country to continue his seminary training here in the United States. He received a Masters in Divinity (M. Div), from Mount Saint Mary Seminary, Emmitsburg Maryland; and a Masters in Professional Counseling (M.Sc.), from Central Connecticut State University. He has served as parochial vicar at Holy Spirit Church Newington, Saints. Peter & Paul Church Waterbury/Saint Leo The Great Church Waterbury, and as Chaplain at St. Mary Home West Hartford, Pastor of St. Martha Church Enfield. Administrator of former linked parishes of Church of the Blessed Sacrament, and Church of the Ascension both are part of the foundation communities that make up the newly established (June 29, 2017) Christ the Bread of Life Parish Hamden. Fr. Kelechi is a peoples' person, he enjoys Soccer, Basket Ball and making friends.
