Stay in touch with our Parishioners who are ill and infirmed.
Calling all bookworms. Help us begin a spiritual book study group. We hope to meet once a week to discuss the chapters we've been assigned and to explore the work of various Christian authors.
Are you an avid knitter? Put your skills to good use. Knit baby hats for St. Raphael's, prayer shawls for shut-ins, lap blankets for chemo patients. Talk, knit, pray!
We have a group that meets in the Parish Center Kitchen from 10 Am – 12Pm for Pokeno. Be sure to bring quarters with you to play and we will teach you how to play or just join us for conversation.
There is a group who gets together Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2PM -4PM to play Canasta. It is easy to learn how to play and they can teach you. Come join us for a social and relaxing afternoon playing cards.
We have a group who loves trips and adventure. We take about four trips a year, to plays, boat trips, train trips and we will even be taking an overnight trip to Pa. Sight and Sound Theatre. Sign up to get on the mailing list.
We meet the first Thursday of the Month, October – June (but not Jan/Feb, due to weather issues).
We start with a Mass at 10:30, followed by a luncheon and entertainment in the Parish Hall on the Blessed Sacrament Campus. Please come and join us for some good food, great entertainment and some wonderful socialization. We are also looking for some people who are available during the day, maybe while kids are at school, to come and help set up, run it and clean up.
High School Youth Group
Our Youth Group has been active in this Parish for over 25 years. We are open to all High School Students, grades 9-12, regardless of which parish you attend or whether or not you are even Catholic. It’s for kids who want to be a part of an organization where you can have fun, with peers you might not otherwise meet, do community service, and enjoy game nights, movie nights and discussions. We currently have students from Hamden High, Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, ESMUS, Career, Lyman Hall, West Haven High School and Wilbur Cross High School. It’s not what you think it is, come to one meeting to see for yourself. We currently do not need Adult Volunteers for this Ministry.
