Christ The Bread of Life Parish
Christmas Bags for the Shut Ins
We like to remember our Parishioners who are unable to get out in a special way at Christmas. We collect items that they can use and gather them together to be delivered to them.
What a wonderful time to come together to celebrate our Parish Family. We have a special breakfast, decorate and set up for a special visit from a jolly man who lives in the north!!
What a special time of year. Parishioners can take a tag from the tree and buy a gift for someone who might not receive one this season. Parishioners can take a tag from the tree and buy the requested gift (for a tot, tween, or teen) or for a mom and dad and baby (diapers, infant necessities). Parishioners then wrap the gifts, attach the tag, and place them back under the tree. You can volunteer to help with this Ministry and remember to participate in it at Christmas.
It brings joy to the heart to see a child happy. Every year at Easter, parishioners donate candy to be placed in bags that are given out to the children after each Mass. Volunteers separate the candy and fill the bags. It’s so wonderful to see how happy the children are as they get their special treats.
We love to celebrate and bring people together for a fun time. This is a great time to get together with other Parishioners and every child that comes will leave with a bag of goodies.
They are a great way to meet fellow parishioners and make new friends. You can help set up and clean up, perhaps even try out your baking skills!
